Exploring SaaS features as AI agents with little to no UI. Independent dev building Abyss Glow, an AI speaking practice agent.
I want to build an AI language companion: not a teacher, but a friend that actually puts you into the language environment.👫👫 It would have long-term memory, a bit like Openclaw. The longer you use it, the better it understands you. And instead of waiting to be opened, it would proactively talk to you. This idea comes from my own experience. I’m an indie hacker from China, and my English is only good enough for simple daily conversations. I’ve tried classes and apps like Duolingo. They helped, but I still felt stuck in “studying English” instead of actually living in an English environment. So I don’t want to build another product that teaches vocabulary and grammar. I want to build one that creates the environment. Current shape in my head: - 90%+ real-time voice - fast responses, like talking to a real friend - simpler English first - 8am chats about news based on your interests - 10pm chats about your day and turn it into a diary - long-term memory that makes it more personal over time Curious to hear from others: Do non-native English speakers feel this too — that the real problem is not more learning, but lack of environment? And for native English speakers learning another language, does this feel familiar too? If products like this already exist, I’d love to know. Still very early, just sharing the idea in public and looking for honest feedback.😁😁 View on X
